Hotel Nacional
Inaugurated on December 30, 1930, the Hotel Nacional is one of the most outstanding in Havana, admired by all.
The hotel's magnificent location is on a promontory overlooking the sea.
Built in the Art Deco style but with an original Cuban twist, the Nacional has always attracted world leaders, film stars, musical artists and celebrities.
It has an old world charm and an air of history in every room. There is a lovely back garden and patio where you can watch the activities on the Malecon while sipping a mojito.
In 1998 the Canadian Prime Minister came to Havana to celebrate the new Canada-Cuba international airport terminal. He met Fidel Castro at the Nacional.
